anatomical variation in the origin of the right hepatic artery

Adult man, 41-years-old,
hypertension. - The patient is suspected of having renal artery stenosis.

In about 30% of the patients the right hepatic artery arises from the superior
mesenteric artery. In some cases the superior mesenteric artery may provide
the total hepatic arterial supply.
